Good morning

“I believe in everything until it’s disproved. So I believe in fairies, the myths, dragons. It all exists, even if it’s in your mind. Who’s to say that dreams and nightmares aren’t as real as the here and now?”

I found this beautiful dragon on Pinterest.  It is the work of goldenSalamander on Deviantart.

I love the colors, it is vibrant and has a lovely softness to it.  Be sure to check out their other art.  It’s beautiful!

We have twelve hens that we bought as day old chicks.  One of them is always giving off a fierce look .  I imagine them thinking they are channeling their inner dragon. 😉

My friends know I love dragons and recently they sent me a link to this dragon.(Actually, I have been sent this link several times.  These are amazing)  🙂

ball-joint-dragon1This wonderful little dragon can be found on a website called http://www.cuartosdolls.com

They are called Darkhorn.
These polyurethane dragons are made with ball joints that allow them to be arranged in various positions.  They come with several options including, wings or no wings, head with eyes open or closed and a range of colors in metallic or matt finish.  These are fascinating.  Be sure to take a look .

Dragon Thursday

When I think of dragons, I tend to think of a dragon type like the ones that guard the dragon bridge in Slovenia.  I found a link to such dragons here: Slavorum: Dragons specifically – Zmaj

I then came upon a BBC article titled BBC Earth – Ten real – life animals that are dragons.

Maybe not my or your vision of a dragon, but there are some fun creatures here.

You can find out more about this fellow in the BBC article and by clicking the image to go to My Science Academy.org for more.

Dragon Thursday

Dragons in the news.

This morning I found headlines stating Slovenia was eagerly awaiting the hatching of dragon eggs.   My first thought went to the dragon I associate with Slovenia, the dragons guarding the bridge in Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia.

This is not the dragon they were talking about.

The highly anticipated dragon hatching in Slovenia today is the Olm, a cave-dwelling chordate species much like our salamander here in the US.

Olm Slovenia

You can read more about this at the

csm_logo_1200x630

They can live as long as 100 years and can survive up to ten years without eating.  (how they know about the eating is kind of disturbing)  These are tough little Olms.  It takes approximately  120 days for the eggs to hatch, so it seems we will have to wait a while to see these baby dragons.

For more information check out this article on Wikipedia Olm

Good luck little dragons,
