Dragon Thursday

I was sitting at the computer yesterday thinking about dragons and our perception of them which led to thoughts of dragons in popular culture.

One of the first dragons I remember is Puff the Magic Dragon from the Peter, Paul and Mary song from my childhood.  I have a dragon music box that I bought almost forty years ago that plays that song.  The music is a little slower after forty years of playing Puff the Magic Dragon, and that is ok.  ❤

Of course there is Smaug from The Hobbit and Falkor from The Neverending Story. Toothless from The How to Train Your Dragon movies  and Haku from Hayao Miyazaki’s Spirited Away,

Plus who wouldn’t love a dragon with Sean Connery’s voice – Draco from Dragonheart.

There are many, many more, and we haven’t even scratched the surface on all of the book dragons out there.   I am leaving links to three sites that explore Dragons in Pop Culture for you to enjoy.
