Dragon Thursday for you crafty dragons

Good morning!

I have many friends who create amazing things with yarn. Some knit, some crochet, many do both.  I am the cheering section that Ohhhs and Ahhhs over their creations.

These same friends have shared some fun dragon inspired patterns they have found online.   You may find them  here, here and, here

This week my friend Andrea shared this dragon inspired yarn.

It is called Venti Dragon Mocha.  I found it online at   Madelinetosh.com

The first one is

DK Twist | Venti Dragon Mocha

The other is

Tosh Merino Light | Venti Dragon Mocha

These yarns are 100% Merino wool.  The Tosh Merino Light is dyed by hand in Texas from wool ethically sourced in South Africa.  The DK Twist is dyed by hand in Texas from wool ethically sourced in Peru.  Both are dyed to order.

These are beautiful and I love the dragon name.  The colors remind me of a woodland dragon.

This site has many beautiful yarns.  If any one makes something with this yarn please share a photo.

Dragon Thursday – Succulent Dragons

Good morning,

I love dragons and I love gardening.  Over the last few years, I have been accumulating a variety of succulents.   When my friend Marielle sent me a link to Succulent Dragons it was a perfect combination.

From the artist website:

“From the artist that brought you Descants & Cadences, the Shadowscapes Tarot deck, and the Dreamscapes series of watercolor technique books!

Stephanie Law would love to share with you her latest project. Succulent Dragons & other insatiable garden denizens is an art coloring book whose illustrations bring to life a whimsical melding of nature and the fantastical. With the mandala-like patterns of garden succulents, combined with mythical creatures whose forms echo the botanical elements, the art from Succulent Dragons invites you to connect with nature and with the child within you.

Succulent Dragons will be funded via Kickstarter, and will be available for pre-order pledges with a current tentative launch date of February 20th. To be notified when the Kickstarter goes live, please contact stephlaw (at) gmail (dot) com with your request to be on the Succulent Dragon interest list. You can also follow at Patreon for behind the scenes views, videos, and insights into the creation of the book and the drawings to fill it.
