Happy Halloween

Trick or Treating has come to an end at our house.  It is now parties or getting together with friends.  There will still be candy and cupcakes, decorations and some reminiscing – at least on my part.

We used to carve pumpkins, but this year slipped past without so much as buying one.  The pumpkin patch did yield a few good ones for baking. Those have been cooked and put in the freezer for later use.

Here are a few jack -o-lanterns from our past celebrations.

Wishing your a fun filled spooky Halloween.

Coffee Monday – Happy Halloween

Well, it’s almost Halloween.

I found a photo of a coffee mug during my search  for Halloween related coffee ideas that would have been perfect,  but it is no longer available when I click the link.  😦

It said:

Don’t shoot!
I’m not zombie
I just haven’t had my coffee yet.

Pretty accurate.  😉

Instead, I will share my favorite Zombie coffee comic from Infinite Monkeyz.

If you celebrate Halloween, I hope you have a spooky good time.

Dragon Thursday – Dragon Masks

It is the last Dragon Thursday before Halloween.  I decided to go with dragon masks.  Although they never look as good on me as they do in the photos, I love them.  I have a blue dragon mask.   It is a little worn in places and now stays on the lamp shade by my bed.

I can’t remember where I bought it, but it was ordered from an Etsy store  several years ago.  In my search this year, I found several Etsy stores that carry dragon masks.

One is named Squirrel Creek Creations, LLC

From their stores description: They make Unique Leather Masks, Armor, Costumes and Accessories.

red and gold leather dragon mask.

They also have one described as Icy blue and White, leather dragon mask.

Another unusual leather mask is one from MaskEra on Etsy.

Ryu, Asian Dragon – Handmade Leather Mask

And last is this lovely, unusual mask from MeriMask described as an

Eastern Frilled Dragon Leather Mask.

Coffee Monday – It’s Halloween!

Well, not really, it’s October, and that’s pretty much the same thing. 😉

To start the month right, it’s time to get the right coffee mug.  I found three to share.

The first is a nod to one of our favorite Halloween movies, Hocus Pocus.

This fun mug can be found on Etsy at

Quite Unique Boutique

The next mug is also on Etsy at Please Pardon My French

And this one can be found on Etsy at I Heart Coffee Co.
