Good morning!
Found on Pinterest. 😀
The last couple of weeks I have been posting gift ideas for coffee lovers that I found on the Internet.  This weekend I asked friends what they would give to some one or  what they would like to receive as coffee related gifts.  Their responses included, coffee subscriptions, gift cards to a coffee shop or coffee related apparel.
Gift cards are something that I tend to get from our local coffee shop or you can buy one from the national company that we all know and love.  The places to buy coffee themed t-shirts that were mentioned were TeeFury.com (I have the Caffeine Powers Activate t-shirt) and Teespring.com.  I really like this one for the holidays. 😉
The gift idea that intrigued me the most were the coffee subscriptions.
I searched the internet and found a couple of sites that give their “Best of” Â list of companies that have coffee subscriptions. Â A coffee subscription provides a selection of your choice of coffee delivered at intervals you choose. Â Some sites have more options than others.
The first site I found was Gear Patrols – 10 Best Online Coffee Subscription Services
The second one is The Kitchn.com and theirÂ
10 Coffee Subscriptions that Let You Have Coffee Beans Delivered to Your Door
One of the things I like about the  Kitchn (not mis-spelled) article is they provide links for single roasters as well as multiple roaster subscriptions.  From their site:  Nowadays, there are independent roasters popping up just about everywhere, and subscription services who source their coffee from multiple roasters are a great way way to discover these businesses without going on an extended road trip to visit them all in person.
I want to thank everyone for their great ideas. Â I hope you find these helpful when shopping for your coffee loving family and friends or maybe a little something for yourself.
Happy Holidays,
Melyna
I ran across another Buzzfeed post on Pinterest this weekend.
The title of the piece is:
How could you not click on that?
You will find some of the most unusual products they have chosen for coffee drinkers. Â Here are a few that stood out:
You know how you can’t find a coaster for your coffee cup or someone carelessly sets something on your wooden table and leaves a water stain. Â This floating coffee cup takes care of that. Â find it at Floatingmug.com
Next is something for those who enjoy their coffee sweet. Â These sugar dollies are edible and can be found at BIZEdessertstudio
Next is an alarm clock that wakes you with fresh brewed coffee. Â It is a product called The Barisieur. Â I am not sure if it is in production. The website states it has met it’s Indiegogo fund goal. Â I did not see an actual buy link.
What an interesting way to wake up.
Be sure to click the Buzzfeed link and see all 21 products.
Good morning,
The quest for gifts for the coffee lover continues.
First is from one of my favorite Coffee Sites – Raven’s Brew Coffee
I accidentally found them on an Internet search for coffee and found their Deadman’s Reach brew, (which now has its own web-page), through the artwork of  Ray Troll.  Â
I tried several of their blends and enjoyed them all.
They are running a special on their holiday shipping rates, plus they have calendars and a seasonal blend of coffee called Santa Caws that you can buy with a nifty magnetic poetry set.
Next is for the coffee lover who wants to where their love on their sleeve… er, wrist.
This Bracelet can be found at Pammytail on Etsy. Â It can be customized with your initial. Â
Plus they offer custom bracelets and have a wide variety of charms to choose from.
And to keep you warm and cozy, here is a hoodie from Decaf Tees, custom screen printing in Kansas City, Missouri.  (Cool coincidence that I was just there in October) 🙂
Continuing the theme of gifts for coffee lovers, this week I have three that I found through Buzz Feeds 39 Amazing Gifts For People Who Love Coffee
First is this fun pin found on Etsy at BruisedTounge shop. It made me laugh.
Next, for those relaxing, drinking coffee with friends, moments. A friend of mine and her family always work on a puzzle together during the holidays. Nice way to spend time together.
This can be found at Amazon.
Last is so true, especially on Monday. This can be found on Etsy at BorealisAdventureCo
Good morning!
It is Thanksgiving week here in the US. Â Many of us are traveling to be with family and friends or preparing to have them come to us. Â It is busy and I will definitely be in need of caffeine.
I also thought about the upcoming holidays and gift giving. Â I found this great coffee mug at ThinkGeek.com. Â A fun gift for your coffee buddy and/or gamer.
Admit it, when it changes to blue, you want to smile. 🙂
Good morning!
This past week I had the pleasure of exploring Kansas City, Missouri while attending GRL 2016. Â It is a beautiful city with so many things to do. Â On the first full day that I arrived, a group of us ventured to the City market. Â In the back corner there is a cool little coffee shop called City Market. Â It is small and filled with the wonderful aroma of their on site roasted coffees. Â They also serve pastries and assorted breakfast foods. Â I went there several times while visiting Kansas City and it was always busy.
We took the streetcar from our hotel to the market. Â One of the first things I noticed about the market area was it is very clean and well organized. Â Vendors were setting up for the day on the first morning. Â We stopped by a Mediterranean grocery and the fragrances were amazing. Â Then I found City Market Coffee House

One of the  local customers suggested the Cubano coffee or a macchiato. I tried the Cubano.  It was rich and delicious.
Overall it was a very enjoyable place to visit.  There is some seating inside, with a outside patio behind the shop and seating along the walk way in front, facing the market.  I suspect that the weekends are the busiest and be prepared to wait.  I have not included a link to their website.  When I try to go to the site , I get a warning.  You may have better luck.  Google is a wonderful thing. 😉
When you visit Kansas City, be sure to take the street car to City Market, Â It is a fun experience and the ride is free. Â The weekends have local artisans, music, and many restaurants to explore. Be sure to grab a cup of your favorite brew and explore.
